One of the problems with social media is that that algorithms they use act as a filter based on your previous clicks. If one never clicks on political stuff, then their feed will rarely if ever show them political stuff. Someone who never pays attention to politics, and doesn’t watch the news, could easily remain completely ignorant of major issues unless someone they personally know tells them something or they are personally inconvenienced by a protest.

That is legislation passed by congress. Congress, per the Constitution, has the power of the purse. They decide what federal funds are used for and can put whatever restriction they want on those funds. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is not granted any such authority by the Constitution and neither is the President.

I don’t care what the charges are, as long as he spends the rest of his days in prison.

I think that the protests have finally gotten the politically uninformed to look around and see what’s happening. Most of those “independents or those who don’t identify with either major party” are just not in the habit of informing themselves about policy. Many, or maybe even most, get the bullet points on the daily news and that’s it. Now, somewhere north of 6 million people have protested Trump’s policies and the news has been covering it. It has shaken them out of their routine. They’ve looked around and educated themselves and realized that this is not normal.
I hope this means the next round of protests hits the 10 million people mark.

Rule 1. Post only links to articles. Title must fairly describe link contents.
Don’t post screenshots. Post a link to the article. I’m not going to waste my time trying to find an article when you don’t bother to post a link to it.

Not politics and not an article.

Really bad headline. The actual article is about a study showing that browser fingerprinting is being used in real time in pricing target ads to your browser.
To investigate whether websites are using fingerprinting data to track people, the researchers had to go beyond simply scanning websites for the presence of fingerprinting code. They developed a measurement framework called FPTrace, which assesses fingerprinting-based user tracking by analyzing how ad systems respond to changes in browser fingerprints. This approach is based on the insight that if browser fingerprinting influences tracking, altering fingerprints should affect advertiser bidding — where ad space is sold in real time based on the profile of the person viewing the website — and HTTP records — records of communication between a server and a browser.
“This kind of analysis lets us go beyond the surface,” said co-author Jimmy Dani, Saxena’s doctoral student. “We were able to detect not just the presence of fingerprinting, but whether it was being used to identify and target users — which is much harder to prove.”
The researchers found that tracking occurred even when users cleared or deleted cookies. The results showed notable differences in bid values and a decrease in HTTP records and syncing events when fingerprints were changed, suggesting an impact on targeting and tracking.
Additionally, some of these sites linked fingerprinting behavior to backend bidding processes — meaning fingerprint-based profiles were being used in real time, likely to tailor responses to users or pass along identifiers to third parties.

Aaaah! Act now! Hurry! Change ALL your passwords! Your password was stolen by malware on your device so change it now… on your device… that still has malware… Wait a minute. Shouldn’t this article at least suggest removing the malware first?

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. Thank you for your attention on this matter? What a bizarre thing to say.

Well I for one am perfectly convinced that patient TX45788288 is clean and free of drugs. Of course, I don’t really know who that is. Probably isn’t Musk though. Even if it is, I’m quite sure that he could easily find someone to piss in a cup for him for a million or so. Hell, I hate the dirt bag and I would have done it for a million bucks.
Also, I would never impute the integrity of Jennifer Taylor of Fastest Labs of South Austin, but I think maybe her boss should check to see if she suddenly jumped into a new tax bracket.

Your primary job as governor is to vet the people you’re bringing on board your administration.
That is far from the primary job of a state Governor. Do you really think that state Governors primarily sit around and personally read through everyone’s social media posts?
Thanks. I was hoping for more than the Alt National Parks Service posts. So, as I see it, the numbers are somewhere between 4 million (the lowest estimate I’ve seen) which I don’t find credible, and 11 million from this post, which I have to admit I doubt. This account is, by necessity, anonymous. I cannot put a tremendous amount of faith in the numbers here, but I suspect they are closer to reality than the 4 million. I guess the truth is that the numbers will never likely be known with any accuracy.
