Specifically they have nine people who signed an affidavit saying they voted in a precinct where there were only five votes recorded.

link Englishfedilink 1 天前5·arrow-up You have to be just the right level of stupid to do this much damage. Putin knew it; that’s why he installed him.
Any smarter and you realize you can just tell the CIA the problem and they’ll solve it for national security reasons. Any smarter and you’ll realize that grifting does nothing for you. You already have the money you’ll need for life, and a better country supporting you is better for you, too. Any dumber and you’re drooling on yourself and can’t give a coherent enough speech to get votes. (We’re nearly at that last part as it is.)

link fedilink 4·arrow-up 2 天前edit-2 The Constitution is nothing if people are not willing to protect and defend it.
We’re not getting though this passively. We’re not getting this done through courts alone.
Really soon we’re going to have to make people, particularly those wearing badges and masks choose a side first, and go back to the courts to see who was right after.
I just hope it’s done in an organized way, where those people DO have a choice. Just disobeying orders as a lone soldier or officer is not nearly as effective as being part of a group.
Is it though?

I especially don’t want to call wolf now when it may very well happen soon.

link Englishfedilink 5 天前9·arrow-up Why do you need an ID? Leave it in your car if you’re driving.
I don’t think there’s a single state that requires you to actually carry documentation.

These are the states that require you to at least verbally state your name, and only if the officer has reasonable suspicion that you have or will commit a crime.
They can ask your name. You may not have to answer.
Research your state’s law on this before you go. It’s in the link.
Really though, about a quarter of my work related coding queries come back with “redacted to meet responsible AI guidelines”.
It’s an AI specifically for code. Apparently it thinks half the stuff I do is hacking.
Maybe, maybe not. Politicians have always had a finger in the wind on some issues. I think if you gave a decent historical account including things like current crime rates by race and the bombing of Tulsa, and just mention “generational wealth” like they’re already familiar with it, and then gave them 24 hours to sit on it, I think they’d all be good with it.
Consider if someone took you, shoved you 200 years into the future and said, “Eating animals was some fucked up shit. Do you know what happened in Factory Farms? Really? Of course we’re all vegetarian.”.

link fedilink 7 天前1·arrow-up Border patrol is hardly related to our current problems. Even following orders to go stand in a certain place isn’t terrible until you actually do something wrong.
The fact that people (National Guard, Marines, whatever) showed up in LA is a problem. Most of those actual people themselves are not the problem.

They definitely did that at college job fairs. They wanted to keep their spot, but weren’t hiring that year.
