  • The story is good, setting up interesting situations, and even conflicts of interests for our protagonist, Fighter D…

He’s supposed to be destroying the Dragon Keepers, but Green Keeper/Chidori seems like a really cool guy, even having a nice family despite his gothy emo looks, and showing mercy to D despite knowing that he’s a kaijin infiltrator.

Half the Ranger organization seems to know or suspect that he’s a kaijin.

Even if D does destroy the Keepers, there are lower ranked rangers waiting in queue to pick up the mantle.

And the kaijin bosses don’t seem to be very sympathetic, so what’s D fighting for?

The Snake Boss arc was fun.

Going back to episode 2, apparently the Boss monsters are themed after the Eto Animals, which are pretty much the same thing as the Chinese Zodiac animals: https://www.nippon.com/en/features/jg00110/

Of which the Dragon Keepers had defeated 7 of them as of episode 2:

Team Green just defeated Magatia/Snake 巳

    The 4 remaining bosses are:

    • Peltrola/Rooster 酉
    • Hwalipon/Horse 午
    • ?/Monkey 申
    • ?/Rabbit 卯

  • From what I have heard, the Italians use milk/cream to cut the bitterness of their espresso and moka pots.

I kind of hate the bitterness that I get out of my moka pot, so I can believe that.

Otherwise, I find that a well brewed coffee (French press, aeropress, cucumella, moka pot) is so rich in oils, that they really don’t need anymore fat.

Something like instant tho… Needs creamer desperately.

But sweetener… I hate coffee without sweetener.

  • I managed to get a used Baratza Encore off Craigslist relatively cheap for $100, and there were other good choices that I could have gone with.

As for K cups, it’s the gateway drug, but I sort of quickly moved on. A lot of people started there, so much respect to their marketing department, if not so much their product development and quality assurance.

And the environmental cost of all that plastic…

  • I binged and caught up with this yesterday.

I am really enjoying the story.

It’s turning into a wish fulfillment from someone who’s made a lot of cruel choices and gets an incredible opportunity to make better choices in a second chance at life.

Arthur’s perspective is from that person of middle age and he rightfully gets called out for it by Tessia.

Arthur’s incredibly good luck, and OPness are touched with touches of kindness in the middle of the injustice and cruelty happening in the background: The human bandit slavers, Elven prejudice, King Grey’s ruthlessness, etc.

Even the cute mascot, Sylvie, comes on the price of Sylvia’s death.

The animation is low budget, but it’s not bottom of the barrel (I’m looking at you, Tegonia), but like I said the story is strong.
